GameBox Component List

Consoles
XBox360 $199.99 (www.newegg.com)
XBox Elite $299.99 (www.newegg.com)

PS3 $299.99 (www.newegg.com)
PS3 250 GB Black $349.99 (www.newegg.com)

Gaming PCs

Newegg.com gaming rigs - (sorted by best rating...I think $1000 is great for a gaming rig)

Monitors/TVs
I recommend getting an LCD TV that has a very fast refresh rate as well as a good resolution so that you can use this with your computer. If you do not want to use your arcade system with your computer... just pick a 32" that you feel will go good with your console gaming systems. Which will be most. Here is one I recommend for using as a monitor.

Samsung - 32" Class / 1080p / 120Hz / LCD HDTV (www.bestbuy.com)

Mouse and Keyboards
 Keyboard & Mouse pack $21.99 (www.newegg.com)

Sound System (what we used in the design for the GameBox)
Logitech-Z-5300e-THX
Currently Amazon does not have any but you can usually find one on EBay.com. If you can't find one there, find a good Logitech 5.1 surround sound system. Used systems are about $150 while new ones are around $400. Try here if you can't find a cheap used one.

Converters
Philips Audio/Video Switchbox With RF Modulator - $24.88 (walmart.com)

From the website...

Sketches...

3D Images will be posted soon.

About the GameBox

Today we are putting up a blog to say yes...we are going to build and sell an awesome furniture kit known as the GameBox...this name may change but for now it is the GameBox. A 3D rendering will most likely be made available for your viewing within the next few weeks. Some sketches probably before that. This is an awesome arcade style furniture piece that you yourself could customize with your own consoles, monitors, and computers.

What does it have room for?

Comfy desk chair/gaming chair
PC
Mouse
Keyboard
Video games (3 foot wide rack)
Subwoofer and surround sound
Converters so that all of your consoles and PC can connect to 1 monitor
Consoles, DVD player, VCR?, etc. (3' x 15" x 16" deep cubby hole)

The stand in which the monitor sits will be a 1"x12"x33" platform that pivots on one corner to allow it to move to the outside of the box for external viewing...such as from a couch. This allows the GameBox to act not only as an awesome gaming arcade box but also as a sylish entertainment stand.

We would like to ask of you what would you pay for an awesome arcade style furniture piece that you yourself could customize with your own consoles, monitors, and computers. It will be sold on Ebay when we know that the public wishes for such an awesome thing. Show us what the demand is. Thank you and have a nice day.

Pictures coming soon...
